Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking registered nurses to provide bedside care in the Emergency Department. The role requires clinical judgment, accurate assessments, and coordination with other care team members to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, Oregon RN license, and current BLS; ED experience or completion of Kaiser’s New Grad Internship is preferred. Additional certifications should be obtained within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• One (1) year of current ED experience or Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship Program in the Emergency Department.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• Emergency/Nursing certifications within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using multi-system evaluations and document findings.
• Plan and coordinate patient care with hospital departments and community agencies.
• Implement care per physician plans and policy, including accurate EMR documentation.
• Evaluate patient responses and participate in unit quality assurance activities.
