Job summary

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center in Enola, PA is seeking an inpatient RN to assess patient health problems, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records on a 12-hour day shift.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in Pennsylvania, and BLS; ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and tuition discounts are offered to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Six (6) months RN experience required.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS required prior to orientation completion. Must be obtained through Penn State Health or American Heart Association (AHA).
• ACLS required on within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and provide nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention; monitor symptoms and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and monitor for reactions and side effects.
