Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our inpatient team. You will collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to care for patients with a range of injuries, illnesses and disabilities, administering medications, monitoring responses and maintaining care records.

The ideal candidate holds RN licensure, BLS, and a nursing degree; BSN or higher is preferred. Prior inpatient acute care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Preferred: BSN studies within five years of start date.
• Preferred: Master's degree in nursing or related field.
• Preferred: 1+ year of inpatient acute care nursing experience.
• Preferred: PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
