Job summary

The role requires a BSN, California RN license, and at least three years in trauma/acute care or case management, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university (degree in progress may be considered).
• Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in Trauma/General Surgery, Critical and/or Acute Care, Emergency Care, or equivalent.
• Current unrestricted RN license issued by California BRN.
• Exemplary communication and problem solving; 40 wpm typing; strong computer skills; ability to manage multiple priorities within complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate care delivery and timely discharge or transfer of patients.
• Manage patient flow to ensure care is appropriate, authorized and conducted in the most appropriate setting.
• Provide clinical information and insight to the healthcare team and payer personnel.
• Act as liaison to external case managers, review organizations and insurance companies.
• Support Revenue Cycle on clinical issues; adapt to flexible hours.
