Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Rocky Mount is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to join our inpatient team. The RCP will perform routine therapy, diagnostics, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and ensure equipment is maintained.

Requirements include state licensure, BLS and ACLS, and a high school diploma with an associate degree preferred; Nevada blood gas licensure if applicable. One year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides.
• Must possess and maintain BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in Nevada.
• High school diploma required; an associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience preferred.

Job description

We are looking for a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to join our team and care for our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order. Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.

• Education and Training: Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care. Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada. For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
• Experience: Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
