Job summary

St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Rehabilitation Manager to lead our inpatient rehab team. This full-time, days position focuses on assessments, planning, and coordination of therapy services for residents with complex conditions.

The role requires licensure in PT, OT, or related field with NBCOT/BLS, plus at least one year of management experience in rehabilitative medicine. Strong leadership, teaching, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure/certification as PT, Speech Pathologist, or OTR certified by NBCOT; current BLS certification.
• At least one year of management experience in rehabilitative medicine; IRF/management experience preferred.
• Proficient clinical assessment and treatment planning; knowledge of rehab modalities; pain assessment/management coordination; effective teaching and family engagement; scheduling and productivity management; strong communication, teamwork, and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform appropriate assessments on residents referred for therapy; observe/evaluate treatments and recommend changes to the physician as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of rehabilitation modalities and develop teaching plans based on resident learning needs; involve families as appropriate and evaluate learning effectiveness.
• Assess pain that interferes with participation in rehabilitation and contact the physician for appropriate intervention.
• Oversee scheduling of treatments and maintain departmental productivity standards.
• Ensure compliance with departmental inspections and documentation requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
