Job summary

Brooks University Inpatient Hospital in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Therapy Tech to assist licensed therapists in patient treatment sessions and recovery, including transporting patients and preparing treatment areas.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, setting up equipment, applying hot/cold therapy, monitoring patient responses, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Requires high school diploma, CPR/BLS, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting; 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current hands-on CPR/BLS Certification.
• Good interpersonal skills and mobility are required.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to treatment rooms, assist with transfers and exercises.
• Prepare whirlpool baths, dressings, and assist with dressing changes.
• Set up ultrasound, electrical stimulation, UV, and other equipment under supervision.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work environment; assist with department paperwork as needed.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist with maintenance requests.
