Job summary

UofL Health - Frazier Rehab Institute in Louisville, KY is seeking an Inpatient Rehab Technician to assist licensed therapists in patient preparation, treatment setup, and monitoring during therapy sessions. This full-time role supports PT, OT, and SLP services, helping patients perform therapeutic activities and manage equipment safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Previous clerical experience preferred.
• Experience as Physical Therapy Tech preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Administers components of interventions under supervision (therapeutic exercise, activities of daily living).
• Prepares for sessions and sets up equipment used in therapy.
• Assists in transfer/transport of patients as needed.
• Takes vital signs as needed during therapy.
• Monitors patients on therapy equipment and reports status changes to the supervising therapist.
• Maintains supply levels and cleanliness of treatment areas.
• Performs clerical duties (phones, scheduling, data entry, filing).
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
• Initiates repairs for non-functioning equipment and routes to maintenance.
