Job summary

Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital in White Hall, AR, is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician for inpatient rehabilitation on a PRN schedule. You will support licensed therapists with patient care, transport patients, and assist with treatment prep and observation of patient responses.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification as needed, and 6–12 months of rehab experience is strongly recommended. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 6-12 months in a rehabilitation setting strongly recommended; on-the-job training after orientation.
• Certifications: CPR certification (as required).
• Skills/abilities: Verbal and written communication; follow directions; patient transport and lifting up to 50 lbs; observation and basic documentation; reliability, teamwork, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Supports the rehabilitation team by carrying out patient care activities as directed by an OTR/RPT, including safe patient transport, treatment preparation, and observation of patient response.
• Communicates effectively with therapists and team members, follows written and verbal instructions, and maintains a safe, organized environment to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow patient care tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals.
• Safely transport patients to and from therapy and other activities.
• Communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) with members of the rehabilitation team.
• Observe and recognize patient reactions to treatment; follow instructions accurately.
• Lift and carry equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis; use proper body mechanics.
• Works under the direction and supervision of licensed therapists within established policies and procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and readiness of therapy areas, equipment, and supplies. Adheres to safety, infection prevention, and patient privacy standards.
