Job summary

Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician for our inpatient unit in White Hall, AR. The role requires 1 year of psychiatric inpatient experience and a 7a-7:30p shift, with full-time days. You will support nurses, assist with de-escalation, and participate in unit-based groups and coaching.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA preferred.
• Licenses/Certification: BLS preferred.
• Required Experience: 1 year of psychiatric inpatient setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient monitoring and vital signs as per unit standards.
• Provide life coaching, psychoeducation and supportive counseling.
• Lead or co-lead psycho-educational groups and unit activities.
• De-escalate acute behavioral episodes using approved techniques.
• Report changes to nursing staff and participate in handoffs.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team per Master Treatment Plan.
