Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Charleston, SC is seeking a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (PRN) to join our inpatient rehab team. You will assess, plan, implement and coordinate nursing care with the patient and family, aiming for positive outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with rehab therapies, administering medications per physician orders, and educating patients and families about treatment plans. BSN preferred; RN license required; BLS required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice and/or compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date.
• < 1 year of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients.
• Assist patient rehabilitation exercises and skin care to prevent breakdown.
• Coordinate with rehab therapy to improve mobility, cognition and ADLs.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
