Inova Mount Vernon Hospital seeks a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. The role supports patients with spinal cord, brain injury, stroke and post-surgical needs in a 12-hour shift, 7 am–7 pm, full-time.

The unit emphasizes holistic, family-centered care within a Magnet-recognized 237-bed facility. The RN provides clinical practice, care coordination, and education, working with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; ADN if BSN completed within 5 years of start date

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments and interprets data to inform care plans
• Develops individualized plans of care based on assessments and trends
• Delivers patient- and family-centered care and documents activities
• Educates patients and families and supports learning outcomes
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to coordinate transitions and resources
• Maintains accurate documentation of care and participates in quality improvement initiatives
• Demonstrates clinical decision making and mentors team members
