Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver PT services in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role requires completing a two-year PTA program approved by APTA and holding a current state license with CPR certification renewed every two years.

Responsibilities include executing PT plans, collecting assessments, and assisting with research protocols. The position is full-time, days with some weekend work, and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a two-year PTA program approved by APTA.
• One year of PTA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out physical therapy programs as planned and directed by the PT, training patients in exercises, ambulation, and activities of daily living.
• Collect clinical assessment scores, radiographic scores and health-related quality of life information.
• Perform tests and evaluations in clinical or research settings, including motor skills, reflex testing, balance and daily living activities.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Assist with research protocols and treatment development; help ensure data quality.
• Participate in staff meetings, forums, committees, and in-service trainings.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work.
