Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for inpatient rehab. Shifts will be 8–10 hours, and you’ll deliver personalized exercises to restore mobility and independence.

You’ll work with a strong team and supervising PTs, benefiting from education support, clear growth paths, and scheduling flexibility. The role emphasizes collaboration with PTs, nurses, and aides to provide high-quality care and positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certificate of graduation from accredited PTA program. BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Current PTA license required.
• No experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
• Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence
