Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an Inpatient Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive PT services to patients recovering from acute illness, injury or surgery in an inpatient setting. Bachelor's degree in physical therapy and Texas licensure eligibility are required.

No experience is required, but one year of inpatient rehab experience is preferred; CPR/BLS certification is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accredited physical therapy program and eligible for licensure in Texas.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Licenses/Certifications: CPR/BLS upon hire; eligible for licensure in Texas.
• Preferred: 1 year of inpatient rehab experience; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Has knowledge of therapeutic principles and practices with good clinical judgment.
• Identifies and records problems areas on evaluation and sets goals with timeframes.
• Analyzes and designs treatment plans based on patient problems and goals.
• Prepares for patient discharge including equipment needs and resources.
• Fosters teamwork and facilitates communication among staff.
• Organizes patient treatment time efficiently.
• Records progress concisely and timely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
