Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks an Occupational Therapist for inpatient rehab on a contingent basis. Located in Grand Blanc, MI, the role focuses on evaluating and treating patients with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial deficits to improve independent living skills and quality of life.

You will design plans of care, educate patients and families, document progress, and coordinate discharge planning while supervising OT assistants and technicians.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
• Design and implement appropriate plans of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
• Document findings of patient progress and monitor and modify the plan of care as needed.
• Educate patients and their families/caregivers about patient deficits.
• Plan and assist with patient discharge from therapy services, providing information on adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians.
