Job summary

Exalt Health Inpatient Rehab Hospital Wildwood is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver OT services under supervision in our inpatient rehab setting. You will help patients regain independence in activities of daily living and return to prior function through structured evaluation and treatment.

You will collaborate with the OT team, physicians, nurses, and therapists, document progress in the EMR, and pursue ongoing education to stay current in rehabilitation medicine

Qualifications

• Associate degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Current certification to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state.
• Current BLS via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• 2 years inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in documentation and medical record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat to improve self-care skills and independence in ADLs.
• Educate patients and families on adaptive equipment and home modifications.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
• Communicate with OTs, physicians, nurses, and the care team to coordinate rehab.
• Pursue continuing education to stay current in rehab practices.
