Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and coordinate a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity OR and inpatient setting.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring safety, quality, and patient-centered outcomes in alignment with the professional practice model. Ohio RN license required or interim permit.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire:

• 2- year College Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing with a major in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program is preferred.

• Current Ohio license or interim permit required.

• 2 years of experience in relevant care setting is preferred.

On-going:

Maintains current Ohio RN license. Meets mandatory educational and health requirements. Demonstrates computer skills required to meet job functions.
