Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration, VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System, is recruiting a full-time Registered Nurse - Inpatient Staff Nurse to join the Acute Care (4B) unit in Cleveland.

As a staff nurse, you will provide patient care within the Patient Care Nursing Service, meeting English proficiency and licensure requirements outlined in VA Handbook 5005. You may be appointed at entry level and advanced based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required for direct patient care per VA standards.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program accredited by ACEN/CCNE; or eligible via bridge program and state licensure.
• Foreign-educated nurses must have current active U.S. licensure or equivalent validation.

Responsibilities

• Delivers fundamental, knowledge-based care to assigned patients while developing clinical competencies.
• Applies biopsychosocial concepts and cognitive skills in day-to-day nursing practice.
• Provides care within Acute Care (4B) under Patient Care Nursing Service and participates in professional development.
