Job summary

Texas Health Stephenville is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist (PRN) to join Rehab Services. The role covers acute care, Med/Surg, post-op orthopedics, and ICU patients, with self-scheduling to support work/life balance.

PRN position requires PT degree, Texas license, and BCLS; inpatient experience is preferred. Weekend coverage (Sat/Sun) is common, with flexible scheduling to cover illnesses and vacations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completion of a Physical Therapy program required.
• Inpatient experience preferred but not required.
• Texas Physical Therapy License required upon hire.
• BCLS certification required before providing independent patient care.
• Strong English verbal and written communication; problem-solving ability; leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and treatment desires.
• Perform procedures within the scope of a physical therapy license.
• Use various treatment techniques and evaluate patient progress.
• Determine care plan and interventions to meet goals.
• Assess patients age-appropriately and tailor care to age-specific needs.
• Motivate patients to participate in therapy and ensure safety.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home programs.
