Job summary

The University of Virginia UVA Health in Charlottesville is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Psychiatry unit (25-bed adult acute) to provide direct patient care within a collaborative behavioral health setting. The role blends clinical leadership with hands-on nursing in a Magnet-recognized system.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, monitor patients, administer medications, and support patients and families through transitions of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for adult behavioral health patients.
• Perform ongoing assessments and monitor changes in patient condition; develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated treatment and transitions of care.
