Job summary

Mass General Brigham is recruiting for a Social Worker on the adult psychiatric unit at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. The role conducts psychosocial assessments, formulates treatment plans, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered care.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Mental Health & Behavioral Medicine or Social Work, 2–3 years clinical hospital experience, and relevant licensure options (LCSW/LICSW/LMHC).

Responsibilities

• Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families with social, emotional, interpersonal and/or environmental issues.
• Formulates biopsychosocial assessment, disposition, and treatment plans.
• Collaborates with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitors, evaluates, and records client progress according to treatment goals.
