Highlands Behavioral Health System in Littleton, CO is seeking a Social Worker/Therapist to support discharge and aftercare planning, coordinate with hospital departments, and provide direct patient care using psychotherapeutic approaches.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Social Work, LCSW/LPC preferred (DORA registered), CPR within 30 days, and handling care training. This role operates in an acute care setting with inpatient and outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Education - Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field such as counseling, psychology or related field
• Experience - Previous experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Licensure - LCSW or LPC preferred. Must be registered through DORA.
• Additional Requirements - CPR certification within 30 days of employment and successful completion of training in Handle with Care.

Responsabilités

• Assist in integration of social services in patient care, discharge planning and aftercare planning with hospital departments and external agencies.
• Provide direct patient care as appropriate and ensure compliance with quality patient care and regulatory standards.
• Utilize psychotherapeutic skills to help patients and families address psychiatric issues through group and individual therapies.
