Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health is seeking an RN for an inpatient psychiatric unit in Spokane. The role requires WA RN licensure, active BLS within 90 days, and strong communication skills. Inpatient and psychiatric experience are preferred, with ability to document in an EMR and use Outlook/Word.

The RN will perform basic nursing duties, administer meds, follow physician orders, and support care plans while maintaining safety and quality standards. Weekend shift is required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the State of Washington at the time of hire.
• Active BLS within 90 days of hire and must maintain active BLS.
• 1-2 years’ experience in Psychiatric setting preferred.
• Previous inpatient experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills including ability to document in an EMR, use electronic time tracking, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor patient basic care within the RN scope of practice.
• Medication administration and safety monitoring.
• Carry out physicians’ orders as assigned.
• Demonstrate leadership and productive teamwork.
• Implement and track care plan objectives and goals.
• Assist in patient education.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice per policies and procedures.
• Comply with state WACs and documentation requirements.
• Facilitate therapeutic communication with patients and staff.
• Complete incident reports accurately and timely.
• Respond to patient needs and escalate when needed.
• Document patient symptoms and progress clearly.
