Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in Orlando is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse to provide nursing care for psychiatric patients across child, adolescent, geriatric and adult populations using the nursing process.

Responsibilities include assessing mental health needs, developing diagnoses, planning and evaluating care, and ensuring safety with milieu management and crisis intervention strategies. Florida RN license required with 1 year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors. Direct milieu management.
• Provide assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status.
• Contribute to treatment plan as a member of interdisciplinary team.
• Document nursing care, treatment, and patient's response to treatment
• Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and chemical dependency disorders and apply/utilize appropriate treatment interventions.
