Job summary

Luminis Health seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner/PMHNP to deliver internal medicine care within the Behavioral Health Division in Maryland, collaborating with contracted physicians. The role includes education, patient counseling, and admission coordination following established policies.

Required are an FNP/PMHNP license, a related bachelor’s degree, and graduation from an accredited program; two years of FNP/PMHNP experience is preferred. Maryland rules and BPQA compliance apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and graduation from an accredited program.
• Two years’ experience as FNP/PMHNP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides education and counsel appropriate to the medical needs of the patient.
• Maintains current licensure and continuing medical education credits as required by Maryland State Law.
• Communicates treatment / therapy progress with individuals who have the responsibility or control in patient care intervention.
• Refers patients to appropriate licensed physician or other health care provider as condition or circumstances warrant.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Objective

FNP/PMHNP will provide internal medicine care in all areas of the Behavioral Health Division, including but not limited to, Pathways admissions and consults and J. Kent McNew admissions and consults. All duties are in collaboration with contracted physician, services are provided under the rules regulations, and policies established by the approved job description of the State of Maryland, BPQA, HCFA, AMA, and AAMC.
