Job summary
The Division of Public Behavioral Health, Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services seeks multiple inpatient Psychiatric Nurse 2 positions at Dini Townsend Psychiatric Hospital in Sparks, NV. You will provide professional nursing care to individuals with mental health needs in an institutional setting, including crisis intervention and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements include a current RN license and two years of nursing experience, with NV experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse with two years of professional nursing experience, including work with mental health or developmental disabilities.
- One year of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse I in Nevada State service or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess health care needs and perform comprehensive nursing observations.
- Develop and revise nursing care plans with the care team.
- Administer medications and monitor for side effects and interactions.
- Provide emergency responses and crisis prevention as needed.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient care.
