Job summary

Summit Medical Consultants is seeking a PM&R physician to join an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Colorado Springs. Physicians self-schedule and participate in medical staff activities; base salary plus bonuses and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities include medical oversight, timely documentation, quality measures, and collaboration with administration and hospital teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in Skilled Nursing/Post-Acute care and/or Hospitalist setting
• Graduate of an approved school of medicine with licensure in the state where he/she practices
• Board Eligible/Board Certified by the appropriate certifying board and medical staff membership requirements

Responsibilities

• Meets quality measures in the provision of medical care and adheres to medical bylaws and regs.
• Creates and maintains timely documentation and coding of patient care for compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Participates in medical staff duties, attends meetings, and supports peer reviews and regulatory compliance.
• Establishes positive relationships with administration, staff, payors, and peers to optimize care.
• Follows safety standards and adheres to mission, vision, and service-excellence values.
• Works independently, with strong judgment and attention to detail; physical stamina required.
• Participates in scholarly activities to aid control/cure of diseases and may engage in drug investigations.
