Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a Medical Doctor with board certification to diagnose, treat, and manage patient health within a collaborative team. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and lead inpatient care rounds.

Responsibilities include prescribing medications, ordering tests, coordinating with nurses and specialists, and educating patients and families. Hospital credentials and ongoing education are required to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and board-certified.
• Successful completion of required residency (and fellowship if applicable).
• State licensure to practice medicine and applicable hospital credentials.
• Unrestricted DEA number and relevant area certifications (BLS/ACLS/ATLS/PALS).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe and administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests to guide care.
• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists and specialists for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications and discharge plans.
• Document medical records accurately and completely.
