Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center's inpatient Rehab Unit is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join a collaborative team. The role focuses on assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions within an interdisciplinary setting, aligned with professional standards and patient-centered care.

Qualified candidates will have a degree in Physical Therapy, NJ licensure (or eligibility), and 3–5 years of experience in an acute inpatient hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college/university with a degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Licensed to practice in New Jersey (or eligible for licensure) is required.
• 3-5 years of experience in an acute inpatient hospital is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial examinations and differential diagnosis.
• Provides and prescribes plans of care consisting of corrective therapeutic exercise.
• Performs manual treatments consisting of soft tissue techniques, joint mobilizations, and many more.
• Supervises and interacts with support staff and maintain proper documentation.
• Evaluates and establishes a plan of care and treats patients accordingly.
• Documents patient care and charges appropriately, and documents the course of patient care, including progress made and the ongoing need for treatment.
• Works with other professionals in an effective manner.
• Provides clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Evaluates patient response to treatment and provides feedback to the interdisciplinary team.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
