Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a full-time Inpatient Physical Therapist to join our team at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. You will work across the med‑surg to ICU continuum with a diverse patient population, collaborating with OT, OTAs, PTs, and PTAs using advanced rehab technology and safe patient handling equipment.

Responsibilities include evaluation, planning, and implementing PT treatments, contributing to staff development, and supporting discharge planning with strong family

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• Licensed as a physical therapist in Nebraska or a current compact state license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluation, planning, and implementation of physical therapy treatments.
• Assist with department goal setting, program planning, clinical instruction, and staff instruction to maintain progression of staff.
• Coordinate with OT/OTAs/PTAs and family to ensure safe patient handling and discharge planning.
• Support education and training activities within the department.
