Responsibilities

• Assist the physical therapist in evaluation procedures and in treatment planning, using modalities, therapeutic exercise, assistive devices, and functional activities as directed.
• Provide patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of their license and as required by law and regulation.
• Document patient status and progress according to internal/external standards and reimbursement guidelines.
• Assist in determining equipment and supply needs and participate in inventory as needed.
• Contribute as the primary therapist in treatment following evaluation and under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary team to integrate physical therapy treatment with all aspects of patient care.
