Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking an Inpatient or PHP/IOP Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in Naperville, IL. The position offers full-time hours, a collaborative environment, and opportunities to deliver evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and coordinated care across inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Qualifications

• Completion of psychiatric residency in an ACGME-accredited program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry (ABPN).
• Active IL medical license (MD/DO) with ability to obtain Controlled Substance license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based evaluation and medication management for mood, anxiety, psychosis, and substance use disorders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans for optimal outcomes using patient-centered approaches.
• Administer and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with policies.
• Participate in case conferences and treatment planning sessions to review progress and recommendations.
• Educate patients and families, promoting mental health awareness and self-management resources.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in psychiatric care.

Education

Completion of psychiatric residency (ACGME)

BC/BE in Psychiatry (ABPN)
