Job summary

Penn Medicine Radnor is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to lead the inpatient phlebotomy team, ensuring timely blood collection across units and providing staffing, scheduling, and performance management. This role supports talent development and promotes safe, high-quality patient care.

You will partner with the Director, Manager, and Human Resources to enforce safety standards, coach staff, and drive continuous improvement in operations and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years phlebotomy experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership role with staff supervision in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and oversight of the inpatient phlebotomy team, including staffing, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure service quality, patient experience goals, and compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Partner with Director, Manager, and HR to support talent management and staff development; coach through evaluations and corrective actions.
• Oversee 24/7 inpatient phlebotomy operations, monitor turnaround times, and optimize workflow and productivity.
• Develop work schedules and adjust staffing in real time to meet changing volumes and operational priorities.
