Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Phlebotomist - Inpatient to join the Elmhurst Hospital team in Elmhurst, IL. This per diem role involves early morning shifts from 4am to 8am, with responsibilities for collecting, labeling, and logging specimens according to established procedures.

Under general supervision, you will process pre-analytical steps, enter patient information and orders, and coordinate specimen handling for laboratory testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program with at least 100 clinical hours.
• Current CPR (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Phlebotomist II requires at least one year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, collect, log and label specimens for testing under supervision.
• Perform pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Register patient information and orders in the laboratory information system.
• Arrange specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Phlebotomy training program (100 clinical hours)

Current CPR (BLS)

Illinois Driver's License and auto insurance
