Job summary

Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide distributive pharmacy services under supervision. The role supports the registered pharmacist by processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and assisting with IV admixture and select sterile compounding tasks.

Requirements include Kentucky Pharmacy Technician registration upon hire, CPhT within 6 months, and CPhT-Adv preferred. Per diem/PRN schedule with flexible weekend coverage may apply.

Qualifications

• KY Pharmacy Technician license/registration is required upon hire.
• CPhT certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• CPhT-Adv is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Processes prescriptions and refills from patients.
• Orders and maintains inventory.
• Communicates with healthcare providers, insurers, and patients as needed.
• Inputs patient health information into computer system.
• May refill and maintain automated dispensing system.
• May perform IV fluids and IV admixture tasks including IV chemotherapy.
• May perform service technician tasks in operating rooms (tray and anesthesia box handling).
• May perform narcotics technician functions.
• May perform medication reconciliation.
• May perform meds-to-beds.
