Job Description

General Summary
  • Proficient in all Pharmacy Technician I, Competency 1 Duties/ Knowledge/ Skills/ Ability.
  • Receives pharmaceuticals, maintains inventory, complies with drug storage regulations, delivers and picks-up medications, and assists pharmacy customer needs.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

Includes packaging, labeling, and verifying medications, processing prescriptions, managing inventory, handling controlled substances, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Specific duties involve data entry, medication delivery, inventory management, expiration checking, and participating in quality assurance and safety procedures.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maryland Board of Pharmacy registration.
  • Preferred: Completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program and certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Skills in mathematics, technology, communication, and physical ability to perform job duties.
Additional Information
