Position Overview

Performs pharmaceutical procedures for medication preparation and distribution, ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy. Responsibilities include preparing, compounding, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications, nutritional products, and IV solutions. Maintains compliance with all standards, procedures, cleaning protocols, and infection control policies to ensure a safe, sterile environment. Assists with inventory management, including stock levels, pricing accuracy, and regulatory documentation. Uses sound judgment and clinical skills to support patient care based on diagnoses, adhering to all relevant regulations and policies. May serve as a trainer and competency administrator for new staff, especially in complex tasks such as chemotherapy compounding.

Education

Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.

Certification & Licensure
