Job summary

USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy department. Under pharmacist supervision, duties include restocking, compounding sterile products, unit dose packaging, and record-keeping in a musculoskeletal-focused hospital setting.

Minimum one year inpatient hospital experience preferred; CPhT with AZ State Board registration required. Includes benefits and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• CPhT certification and Arizona State Board registration.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient hospital experience; sterile product compounding preferred.
• Good organizational, problem solving and computer skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff, physicians and patients.
• Knowledge of medication management software and Pyxis systems.
• Understands pharmaceutical nomenclature and medical terminology.
• Ability to calculate dosages and interpret physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Restock anesthesia drug boxes and floor stock in OR, PACU, Pre-op and PSU.
• Unit dose packaging, charging, receiving and stocking within the pharmacy.
• Compounding sterile products and unit inspections.
• Maintaining appropriate records and assisting pharmacy leadership as directed.
