Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. This part-time third shift (9:00pm–7:00am) role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure accurate medication management and excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, sorting, dispensing, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and medication history inquiries. Prior tech experience preferred with EPIC/Omnicell familiarity.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician required.
• High school education or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage medications for inpatient units and operating rooms; order, receive, sort, and dispense medications.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide excellent patient service and care.
• Create and use medication usage reports for inventory control.
• Answer calls from inpatient units and triage with strong customer service.
• Receive orders, select drugs, prepare dosage forms and strengths.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding as needed.
• Conduct electronic medication history inquiries and medication reconciliation.
