Qualifications

• 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately.
• Knowledge of generic and trade names, dosages, and cross-reference drugs from memory.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical abbreviations.
• Skill in preparing intravenous solutions using aseptic technique.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong computer order entry and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication with pharmacists, nurses, physicians.
• Ability to compound chemotherapy solutions per guidelines.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and push 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, perform drug distribution and pre-packaging.
• Maintain Pyxis inventory and daily medstation filling, check expirations.
• IV and chemotherapy sterile compounding and related record keeping.
• Billing, housekeeping and security tasks as required.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
