Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CA Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Experience with aseptic technique and sterile IV prep.
• Familiar with unit dose systems and IV admixture programs.
• Able to learn pharmacy computer systems during probation.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe physician orders and prepare patient med profiles.
• Assist in dispensing and distribution of medications.
• Read hospital charts and understand abbreviations.
• Work under licensed pharmacists in a high-volume setting.
• Interact professionally with patients and staff; maintain accuracy.
• Stand for long periods; function as a team member with departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned; no supervisory responsibilities.
