Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Portland seeks an IV technician to provide customer-focused services in the technical aspects of pharmaceutical care and intravenous compounding under the supervision of the pharmacist and healthcare team.

You will assist with cash handling, inventory management, prescription processing and IV admixture operations, while upholding HIPAA privacy, quality standards and safe, efficient service in a fast-paced inpatient/outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Experience with cash handling in a pharmacy setting preferred.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively with members and team.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate IV admixture services and sterile processing.
• Process prescriptions and maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain stock, inventory and prepare for phlebotomy/injection supplies as required.
• Assist in data management, billing and reconciliation as part of pharmacy operations.
