Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) issued by PTCB; required for Tech III.
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• Two to five years of inpatient Pharmacy Tech experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations.
• Strong computer experience and accurate data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in preparation of medications for patient use (oral and parenteral).
• Assist in distribution of medications, record keeping and billing functions.
• Maintain inventory levels and perform assigned operational duties.
• Support pharmacists in completing medication orders in the assigned areas.
• Assist with medication histories for patients as needed.
