Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) issued by PTCB.
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must have two to five (2 - 5) years of previous (Inpatient) Pharmacy Tech experience.
• Proven knowledge of pharmacy terminology and calculations.
• Strong computer experience and accurate data entry skills.
• Excellent detail and organizational skills to sort, file and retrieve information.
• Demonstrated ability to manage assigned workload within deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation of medications for patient use (oral and parenteral).
• Assist in distribution of medications, record keeping, and billing functions.
• Maintain inventory levels and perform assigned operational duties in the area.
