Job summary

Atrium Health's Davie Medical Center Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for a full-time, 40-hour work week. The role includes assisting licensed pharmacists, preparing and labeling medications, and supporting pharmacy operations.

The position offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and requires NC registration within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities include handling sterile and non-sterile compounding where applicable, inventory control, phone screening, and assisting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) required.
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration within 30 days of hire.
• One-year pharmacy experience preferred.
• Associate degree in healthcare or business preferred.
• Good mathematics skills.
• Attention to details.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with technical duties in preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen phone calls and route using proper etiquette.
• Complete documentation for removing, stocking, and wasting controlled substances; perform daily procurement tasks.
• Perform nonsterile compounding per USP standards; perform sterile IV admixture where applicable.
• Inspect medication storage areas for policy compliance.
• Document medication admission histories and data entry into the pharmacy system.
• Seek additional duties when work is completed and support training as needed.
