Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Educator - Inpatient to lead onboarding for pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, interns and residents. The role develops education programs, supports ongoing competency assessments, and assists with standard work creation and continuing education within the Pharmacy Department.

The educator will review annual staff competencies and lead training for large process changes or technology implementations, reporting to the Pharmacy Operations

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• 1 or more years experience as a pharmacy technician
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Associates degree preferred
• Experience training and experience writing policies and procedures is a plus
• Pharmacy Technician Registration is required upon hire or licensure by State Board

Responsibilities

• Facilitates communication about the department's goals and operations within the division.
• Organizes competency standards for pharmacy staff, including standards of work, regulatory compliance, and automation.
• Monitors education progress and regulatory compliance such as CE credits and licensure.
• Establishes policies, procedures, and work instructions for the department.
• Maintains up-to-date records to meet practice standards and accreditation.
• Acts as primary resource for ambulatory pharmacy systems and processes.
• Collaborates with Master Trainer on new initiatives and training updates.
