Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Educator - Inpatient to lead onboarding for pharmacy staff, develop education programs, and drive competency assessments across the department. The role reports to the Pharmacy Operations Manager and supports standard work creation and continuing education.

Responsibilities include coordinating training on regulatory requirements, policy development, and collaborative initiatives with the Pharmacy Master Trainer to implement

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• 1 or more years experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Pharmacy Technician Registration - State Board of Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist upon Hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
• Preferred: Associates Degree.
• Preferred: Experience training.
• Preferred: Experience writing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates effective communication in the pharmacy department articulating the status of team vision/goals as well as how the department fits into the division’s strategic plan and business operations service model.
• Organizes and facilitates competency model for pharmacy including standards of work, regulatory compliance, automation/equipment and other areas directly impacting the quality of work thru the Pharmacy Department.
• Monitors progress with staff education and compliance with various regulatory requests (continuing education, licensure, personnel documentation for accreditation, etc.).
