Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Board of Pharmacy Technician License required or must become registered within 90 days of hire.
• Certification by examination as a pharmacy technician (CPhT or ExCPT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparation and dispensing of medications and related supplies.
• Fill unit-dose medication carts and deliver to nursing units.
• Assist with new medication orders and phone communications; provide safe handoffs to team members.
• Train new technicians and participate in peer review.
