Job summary

Ochsner Health — Bay St. Louis inpatient pharmacy team seeks a Pharmacy Technician to maintain and improve ADM MedStation systems for adult and pediatric inpatient areas.

You will support pharmacists, manage inventory, and ensure accurate data entry and safety compliance in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, pharmacy technician certification, and the ability to travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• Required – High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification in the state of practice is required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification is required.
• Pyxis Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the setup, installation, and expansion of Automated Dispensing Machine (ADM) MedStation systems.
• Communicate the status of ADM product projects/activities/issues to pharmacy and nursing staffs.
• Review reports of nursing activities and discrepancies and refer to pharmacist or nurse manager.
• Participate in policy and procedure development and review of ADM MedStation system.
• Assist in resolving ADM MedStation system issues as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Manage inventory of ADM MedStation systems and perpetual inventory system
• Review inventory levels in perpetual inventory system.
• Review and adjust inventory max and min levels.
• Review all Batch reports (e.g., Refill, Stock-out, All Station Events, Charges and Credits, Discrepancies, Overrides).
• Facilitate and monitor pharmacy staff training (new and current staff).
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population and ensures privacy and appropriate communication.
